Pub Church

Theology on Tap began in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago in 1981. Now known by many names, the model has spread around the globe and across denominations. Using an invitational method, leaders create a hospitable space – generally in bars or pubs – for people in their 20s and 30s to explore faith in Jesus Christ and explore how faith can be integrated in life.

  • Darkwood Brew — Robert Taylor used to be the Dean at the Cathedral in Seattle, WA.
  • Brewin on Belief — Cambridge MA
  • Pub Church’s website says: “We are a small group of diverse people who have become disenchanted with religious organizations, but are interested in exploring religious/spiritual themes in a semi- (but not exclusively) Christian context.” They meet at The Dugout in Boston and are affiliated with the Disciples of Christ.
